Thanksgiving Made Easy ("we", "us") helps people plan and attend Thanksgiving dinner. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Email address, if you sign up for launch updates or create a host account.
- Event details you enter: date and time, guest counts, dietary needs, menu, and address.
- Guest names and dish sign-ups, when a guest joins a dinner through a link.
- Mobile phone number, only if you choose to receive text message reminders.
- Basic usage data, such as pages viewed and device type, to understand how the site is used and to fix problems.
How we use it
- To build and save your plan and to let your guests see and sign up for it.
- To send you the reminders and emails you asked for.
- To keep the service secure and working.
Text messages and your phone number
We use your phone number only to send the reminders you opt in to. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Our messaging provider processes messages on our behalf so they can be delivered. See our text message program page for details, including how to stop messages.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to run the product: hosting, a database, email delivery, and text message delivery. They may process your data only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and event data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Ask us to access or delete your data by emailing the address below.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
